- Rasmus Knudsen's occupation in the 1771 census of taxpayers in Havnelev parish is given as being a "Skoflikker" (cobbler); later, in 1787 census, his occupation is given as being a "Bonde og Husmand" (copyhold farmer and smallholder). The 1771 and 1787 censuses places Rasmus Knudsen's birth year at circa 1722, while his burial record sets it at circa 1714. Rasmus Knudsen's marriage to Karen Jacobsdatter was his first; however, the two censuses inform us that the marriage was Karen's second. Considering her age, her first husband must have died only a few years after they were married; his identity is not known.
They are very probably the parents of Ane Marie Rasmusdatter, as her marriage record informs us one of the witnesses was Rasmus Knudsen. Rasmus is also mentioned as attending the baptisms of four of her six children.
