- Dr. M.K. Zahrtmann and J?rn Klindt informs us that in the records for Vestermarie parish a "Hans Koofodt" paid a severe fine of 15 Mark "for Margrete Iffuers horeri" (for Margrethe Iver's adultery). As the entry is not dated, it can only be dated to the L?beck period of occupation, specifically the period 1525 to 1543 in which Berendt Knop was their bailiff. It is not clear if Hans Kofoed participated in this offence, the matter might have involved a relative, dependant, or an employee; nor is it even stated where Hans Kofoed was living! It is probable that he was living in Bornholm's "Vester Herred" (Western District); which includes: Vestemarie, Nylars, Nyker and Knudsker parishes, and R?nne.
Hans Kofoed is probably the forefather of a third branch of the Kofoed-family on Bornholm: after the example of Julius Bidstrup, I have given this branch the moniker of "Vestermarie Branch" or "Familien C". - Norman Lee Madsen, August 22, 2006.
His is probably the father of:
Rasmus Kofoed of Kildeg?rd (later Munkeg?rd), 16 Slg. Pedersker, in 1576, and 1598-1599.
And the grandfather of:
Lasse Kofoed of Pibereg?rd, 36 Slg. Klemensker, in 1598-1599.
J?rgen Kofoed of Eliseg?rd, 31 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1598-1599.
Oluf Kofoed of Engeg?rd, 35 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1598-1599, 1611, 1623, 1627, 1628.
Niels Kofoed of Hakonsg?rd, 39 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1598-1599, 1611, 1623, 1627, 1628.
And the great-grandfather of:
Peder Kofoed of Loftsg?rd, 23 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1636.
Mogens Kofoed of Engeg?rd, 35 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1632, 1658 and 1662, and Lille Bjergeg?rd, 66 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1632 and 1657.
Arist Kofoed of Hakonsg?rd, 39 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1640.
Rasmus Kofoed (c.1596-1662) of Lille Bjergeg?rd, 66 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1631, and N?rreg?rd, 49 Slg. Vestermarie, between 1642-1662.
And the great-great-grandfather of:
Arist Kofoed (c.1641-1690) of Pedersker parish.
Niels Kofoed of K?rbyg?rd, 8 Slg. Knudsker, in 1658 and 1662.
Oluf Kofoed (probate June 27, 1676) of Engeg?rd, 35 Slg. Vestermarie, in 1656.
